Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for starting the modern science-based study of children's memories of eyewitnesses and children's victim witnesses within lawful circumstances. Her publications are numerous, she has received numerous grants and is the recipient of many awards at the national level and international. She has provided advice on policy and research for numerous government agencies and departments across the world. She is also a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
